Not your average offsite for Bubble Agency

A day of workshops helping a PR agency’s team find their voice, land their message and handle whatever gets thrown at them.

The setup:

Bubblefest: a day to celebrate, connect and get better together.

Bubble Agency brought their whole team together for an off-site with a difference. US and UK, some meeting in person for the first time, all in the same room for a day of connection, energy and learning.

MD Sadie Groom had a simple but powerful belief going into the day: everyone in the team has the potential to be brilliant at building relationships and winning business. Not just the senior people. Everyone.

So the brief was fun, practical and built around everyday things. How do you make a strong first impression? How do you tell your story in a way people remember? How do you stay confident when someone pushes back?

What we did

From hiding behind the slides to owning the room.

Two sessions, back to back. No theory for the sake of it. Every exercise built around the situations Bubble’s team actually face: networking events, client meetings, tricky conversations, new business moments.

Session 1: High Impact Comms

How to say what you mean and make it land.

  • From burying the point to leading with it: why PR people often save the headline for last, and how to flip that habit.
  • From vague to vivid: restructuring real messages the team were already working on, with peer feedback on what landed.
  • From instinct to intention: how to organise your thinking so your audience can follow without effort.
  • From knowing it to saying it: live practice on the hardest messages each person had had to deliver recently.

Session 2: Personal Impact and Presence

Who you are, how you come across, and how to hold your ground.

  • From invisible to memorable: each person identified their archetype and named what makes them distinctive.
  • From vague self-awareness to a clear point of view: everyone built and delivered their own 60-second Spark talk.
  • From caving under pressure to staying grounded: live practice handling pushback with escalating challenge.
  • From debate to persuasion: a live panel challenge on topics that actually matter in a PR agency today.

What changed

People left knowing their thing. And how to say it.

The biggest shift was confidence. People who came in unsure of how they came across left with a clear sense of their own style and how to use it.

The Spark talks were the standout moment. Watching people stand up and deliver their thing, in their own voice, with the room fully behind them.

And because everything was grounded in real scenarios, the skills were immediately usable. Not something to think about later. Something to try the very next day.

In their words

"Boring company kickoffs and team get-togethers are no longer a thing, especially at Bubble Agency. This week we held our first ever Bubblefest and it definitely won't be the last!"
