Ready10: Stronger storytelling, pitching and presence

A five-week programme for the Ready10, Klaxxon and Work & Class teams, designed to strengthen how ideas are communicated, challenged and remembered.

The challenge

Ready10 wanted to create more consistency in how ideas landed across the team.

As a PR and communications agency pitching regularly and operating at pace, there was no shortage of creativity, energy or strong thinking. The opportunity was helping people communicate those ideas with greater clarity and confidence when it mattered most.

The team wanted stronger structure in pitches, more memorable storytelling and greater confidence handling challenge and questions in the room.

It also needed to reflect the pace and personality of the people taking part. Practical, engaging and rooted in the reality of agency life.

What we delivered

We designed a five-week programme built around real working situations and the communication moments people encounter most often.

Each session built on the last, moving from individual communication patterns into storytelling, persuasion and higher-pressure situations.

Sessions covered:

  • understanding individual communication style and impact
    • building Impact Blueprints for pitches, presentations and client conversations
    • shaping stories and structuring ideas more effectively
    • communicating ideas clearly without over-explaining
    • Dragons’ Den-style challenges to practise under pressure
    • handling questions, challenge and interruption with greater confidence
    • developing stronger presence, pacing and clarity when speaking
    • peer feedback and reflection throughout the programme
    • a final ReadyTED-style talk where each person brought a Big Idea to life

The programme was designed to move from insight into practice, giving people opportunities to experiment, receive feedback and refine their approach over time.

The outcome

By the end of the programme, the change was visible in how people communicated.

Ideas were presented with more structure and greater conviction. Stories became clearer and easier to remember. People backed their thinking more confidently and handled challenge with less hesitation.

The team also developed stronger habits around feedback and a greater willingness to test ideas out loud rather than refining everything in private.

The final ReadyTED talks brought the programme together particularly well. People communicated with more clarity, stronger structure and greater confidence than they had at the start.

Why it worked

The programme stayed close to the reality of agency life.

People worked with ideas, situations and pressures they recognised, which made it easier to test approaches and build confidence through practice rather than theory.

In their words

“We were genuinely bereft when our time with them was over.”
