Speaking and
Partnerships

Talks, panels, podcasts and workshops designed for your community on culture, leadership and communication. Practical, human, and useful on Monday.

Talks that change how people think, and how they show up

You bring someone in to speak, people enjoy it, and then very little changes. The talk sounded good, but didn’t quite connect to your reality. People nodded along but didn’t see what it meant for them. It created a moment, but not momentum.

That’s what we’re here to fix. We design talks that feel like they’re coming from inside your world, not outside it. Grounded in the behaviours, conversations and decisions your people are already part of, with a clear focus on what they can take away and use straight away.

Not just something that sounded good in the room.

Monday

everything is designed to leave people with something they can use the next day

"We've worked with HappyHQ across the Ibiza Summit and our leadership programme and the feedback has always been excellent. They bring an incredible amount of energy, a brilliant dynamic, and a wealth of experience that means they can handle any room - any level, any background. Everything they do is practical, so people leave with things they can use straight away. They're well respected and just get the audience they're in front of. A firm favourite and a safe pair of hands we'd recommend without hesitation."

Useful on Monday

Most talks stay at a distance. Ours don't.

Most talks focus on ideas, trends or stories, but don’t connect closely enough to what people are dealing with day to day. So people listen, but don’t translate it. The message was interesting, but not specific enough to act on. The energy doesn’t carry beyond the room.

We focus on what people recognise. The behaviours, conversations and decisions they’re already part of, and what needs to change. Everything is designed to be practical, so people leave with a clear sense of what to do differently.

Featured Talk

The Brilliance Bias

Why do organisations keep backing the most confident people? This is the question at the heart of one of our most requested talks, and the subject of Fran’s TEDx talk.

It looks at how rewarding confidence and output over care and integrity shapes culture from the top down, what that does to teams over time, and where it starts to limit growth. It’s the talk that tends to change how leaders see what they’re reinforcing, and what they want to do differently.

The Brilliance Bias

Exploring what we reward in leadership, the behaviours that drive strong healthy teams, and why talent alone was never the point.

What we talk about

Recent topics

Every session is tailored to the audience. The topics below give a feel for the kind of work we do and the themes we come back to most. All are grounded in what happens inside organisations, not what sounds good from a stage.
01
Scaling Culture Without Losing Your Soul
What starts to slip as teams grow or go remote. Why values become harder to see and culture starts to flatten, and how to keep standards high and culture strong when you can’t pick things up by osmosis.
02
The Feedback Gap
Most teams aren’t short of opinions. They’re short of the conversations that share them. We’ve been closing that gap team by team and agency by agency, using our FEAST framework and feedback trigger work to help people understand why feedback breaks down and what to do differently.
03
Culture by Design, Not by Default
As teams span more generations than ever, culture doesn’t hold together on its own. Different expectations around feedback, progression, flexibility and what good leadership looks like mean that what worked five years ago often doesn’t work now. This session looks at how to design a people-first culture that gives everyone a voice, builds genuine trust and stops culture from drifting.
04
The Human Edge
AI is now where people research your company before they apply, before they accept an offer, and sometimes before they decide to stay. What it surfaces about you is only as strong as the culture underneath it. This session looks at what distinctly human leadership looks like as AI takes over more of the work, and why trust, psychological safety and culture are now the hard competitive advantage.
05
Accidental Managers, Expensive Mistakes
What happens when people are promoted without being properly prepared. The impact on performance, retention and team culture, and what better management habits look like day to day.
06
Saying the Thing and What Are You Known For?
Two of our most requested workshop topics. How to set boundaries and handle pushback without damaging relationships, and how to build the voice, reputation and point of view that gets you noticed for the right reasons.
07
The Brilliance Bias
Why do organisations keep backing the most confident people? How that shapes culture and delivery, and where it starts to limit growth.

What our clients say

In their own words

“As Content Manager for Spring Fair and Autumn Fair, I strive to curate seminar programmes which truly engage, enlighten and educate our visitor audience. To source speakers who can deliver such content is a hard task, but happyHQ left the audience and myself truly inspired. They have a passionate and exciting presence on stage and their research, knowledge and understanding of workplace culture and the world of work is refreshing. Janine and Louisa were a joy to work with and I will endeavour to continue this working relationship for future events.”

Keterina Albanese
Senior Content Manager, Spring Fair & Autumn Fair

“Francesca is an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. She is organised, responsive, and was incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the entire TEDx process. Her content was powerful, thoughtful, and delivered with a level of confidence and conviction that truly captivated the room. We weren’t surprised at all that her talk was selected by TED global as an Editor’s Pick. A huge achievement, so deserved.”

Why people love it

What changes, and why it stays changed

01
It feels like it's about your world
We spend time understanding your audience before we design anything. People leave feeling like the session was written for them, not for a generic room.
02
The conversations don't stop at the end
The best sign a session has landed is people still discussing it the next day in a useful way. We design for that, not just for the energy in the room.
03
It can connect into wider work
A talk can be a standalone session or the starting point for something bigger. We can connect it into workshops, leadership programmes or ongoing support where that makes sense.
04
People leave with something to use
Not just something that sounded good in the moment. Every session ends with people having a clear sense of what to notice, what to do differently, and how to approach situations they’re already in.
